The ABD is apolitical. It does not support any particular party per se.
However we will praise parties who defend drivers, and attack those who do not.
Beware of parties who promise one thing, but fail to deliver; and those who change their stance after an election. Yet many voters remain blindly partisan and still vote for the same party!
In 2008, the SNP scrapped bridge tolls in Scotland to win votes, but are now imposing unnecessary 20mph and 50mph speed limits.
In 2012, the Conservatives promised to increase the motorway speed limit to 80MPH, but backed down when they had to form an alliance with the Lib Dems.
In 2023, Labour imposed a 20MPH speed limit on most urban roads in Wales, yet ignored a petition of over 450,000 signatures against it.
