A never ending deluge of hysterical propaganda from environmental activists, brainwashed politicians, and ignorant ‘journalists’, tell us that electric cars will ‘save the planet’, but many problems are swept under the carpet.
These problems include: the increased cost when new compared to ICE vehicles, the huge cost when you eventually have to replace the battery, availability of recharging points, cables stretched across a pavement if you don’t have a drive, time taken to recharge, range of a fully charged vehicle, effect of cold on range, consuming power (and thus range) to heat the inside of the car during cold weather, rapid depreciation in value, fires than cannot be easily extinguished, environmental damage when extracting raw materials, child slave labour used for raw material extraction in some countries.
