The ABD asks: Are you happy that your taxes are effectively being given to those who can afford new cars? Whilst, like most of the country, you are struggling on in your Β£2,000 – Β£5,000 car, those with far more resources than you are being helped out with tax incentives for their Β£16,000 – Β£60,000 new car.
We look around our neighbours and see mainly old Focuses, Corsas and Qashqais, also some with no car at all. Nobody asks these people if they are happy that whilst their VED, repair bills and insurance goes up yet again, our politicians are splashing their cash on far wealthier folk to buy new cars. It’s time the public had a voice.
